You may not think you’re a genius when it comes to clutter-busting and organizing your space, but consider that perhaps the reason clutter has mysteriously collected over the years is because of your varied interests—and, that you are actually an interesting, creative person! However, if you want to keep your creative juices flowing and get the most out of your Feng Shui remedies and enhancements, consider blocking off periods of time for a thorough clean-out and toss, followed by regular maintenance. Spring is represented by the Wood element and new growth. However, it’s almost impossible for new creative ideas and possibilities to sprout if there’s no room to grow. The period from mid-April to early June relates to prosperity and to the Wealth area of the Bagua. It’s often windy this time of year. Wind (which also relates to the Wealth area) facilitates the spread of seeds and helps to create a more abundant harvest in the fall. When you release your excess stuff, you are also spreading seeds for your own personal abundant harvest. The letting go represented by the wood element and the spring season also extends to other parts of your life. Your home and physical body are metaphors for each other. After several months of colder weather and eating heavier meals, you may have gained weight or have a toxic liver. Many disciplines advocate doing a body cleanse in the spring because it’s likely that your body wants to lighten up and is craving lighter meals and spring veggies now.
