SIX TIPS FOR BOOSTING YOUR
VITALITY WITH FENG SHUI

The New Year signals a fresh start for many of us as we commit to conquering old habits and creating new experiences. However, many of us don't have the structures in place to support lasting changes.

Old destructive habits and unfulfilled goals are a drain on your vitality. Living in a balanced and harmonious home with good Feng Shui provides a strong foundation for a better life.

When a space is balanced, there are less distractions--which are often subtle and unnoticed. This leaves more energy to focus on what's most important in your life.

Here are six Feng Shui tips that will contribute to balancing your space and keeping your vitality high:

1Hang a large multifaceted leaded crystal in the center of your home and/or your bedroom. As you do this, visualize healing energy flowing from the center into the other areas of your home.

Feng Shui assigns the bagua area in the center of a building to overall health. This is also true for individual rooms—especially your bedroom.

Energy flows out from the center to other areas of the bagua, influencing the circumstances represented by each of those areas.

Metaphorically, the center of your home represents the core of your being. To assure that your own center is balanced, keep the center of your home spacious, clean, and neat.

2. Place a healthy living plant in each room. If you can only do this in a few rooms, place at least one plant in each of the rooms where you spend significant amounts of time--such as your bedroom, family room, or kitchen.

If these rooms don’t receive ample sunlight, rotate them regularly.

3.  Add color—especially, if you feel sad after you've recently removed colorful holiday decorations or if you experience post-holiday depression. Adding color can also provide the lift you need if you feel like you’re not quite ready to embark on your goals for the new year.

Red is an especially effective energy booster. It’s related to the fire element and can often provide the spark needed to get yourself moving. Usually this would be a temporary enhancement and should be monitored.

If you don’t care for true red, try blue-red or orange-red. Bright yellow can also be an effective ch’i enhancer.

4. Review the bagua of your home. Are you experiencing situations or problems associated with any of the nine areas? If so, check for energy leaks in the related area.

5. Look over Feng Shui remedies that you’ve placed in the past. Do they reflect your current goals? If not, remove them.

Clean all crystals and other adjustments.

6.  Move stagnant energy! Discard anything that you don't need or love from storerooms and cluttered areas.

If you have unused or rarely used rooms, activate the ch'i by rearranging and cleaning those spaces.

Next month’s newsletter will be devoted to

Wishing you joy, health, and vitality!
