7 Feng Shui Tips To Harness Your Wealth Flow

Last month I wrote about the Family area and mentioned its strong connection to your financial well-being. One reason is because our family of origin and early connections shaped our attitudes about money and wealth. With a solid foundation in the Family area, your enhancements to the Wealth area will be even more effective.

The Wealth area, like Family, is related to the Wood element; but rather than awakening and sprouting new growth, in Wealth it’s connected to sustained growth, rapid expansion, flowering, and ultimately multiplying by sharing its seed.

Wealth needs to be shared periodically to insure future abundance. In the same way that bushes and trees need to be cut back periodically to keep them full and healthy, we must have a balance between giving and receiving in order to grow our wealth and prosperity.

Wind, which is also attributed to the Wealth area, facilitates the spread of seeds and helps to create a more abundant fall harvest.

Since most of us have things we no longer need or use, an easy way to start to share your wealth is to outflow anything that you haven’t used in the last year or twounless it has sentimental value. The items you purge don’t have to be stored in your Wealth area to make a difference. Clutter anywhere in your space causes stagnation, which slows the flow of wealth.

If you’re bound to possessions that have no use or value to you, the act of releasing them can often be a more powerful catalyst to opening up the flow of money in your life than giving actual money.

7 Feng Shui tips for creating Wealth

  1. Your kitchen is directly related to the money aspect of wealth. To promote abundance:
  • Your pantry and refrigerator should be filled with items that are fresh and actually used
  • Your stove is clean and all of the burners work and are used equally
  • Your counters are clean and clutterfree
  • Your kitchen table is clutterfree and ready for you for sit down for a meal.

If one of your burners is broken, hang a round leaded crystal above the stove to lift the energy. However, it’s best to have it repaired.

  1. Depending on your space, add a water feature to your Wealth area such as a fish tank or a fountain. Also special items crafted from wood, healthy plants and flowers, bowls of fresh fruits and veggies, and wind chimes can be used to enhance this area.

If you have a bird, and are able to place her cage here, she will stimulate wealth energy.

  1. All containers relate to wealth, whether they are in the Wealth area or not. Use your bowls and baskets consciously throughout your home.
  1. Make sure all of your trashcans and recycling bins are clean and emptied regularly.
  1. If your front door is aligned with a window or door in the back, find a way to divert the energy. One possibility is to hang a crystal or piece of leaded glass in front of the back window or door.
  1. Accent the Wealth area of important rooms in your home, such as your bedroom or living room, with the colors green and purple.
  1. Fix anything broken. Water leaks especially relate to your ability to hold on to money.
  2. May the flow of wealth bless & prosper you!

Finally, Wealth is not limited to your monetary well-being. It is as much about lifestyle as it is about having plentiful cash resources. It includes having all the things that you want and, even more importantly, the feelings of well-being that accompany living a harmonious life. The Wealth area includes having an abundance of friends, a comfortable home, healthy and happy children, and anything else that brings you satisfaction.
