CHANGE & NEW BEGINNINGS Greetings! This is a One Universal Year and the theme is change and new beginnings. A way to tap into this energy, is to carry it into your garden and push yourself to think outside of the box. Without relinquishing your entire landscape plan, see if you can incorporate something new and exciting, such as a new or seldom used color, an unusual shrub, or a whimsical piece of lawn art. The rule, of course, is that you should love the result. As many of you know, the I Ching--also called the Book of Changes—contributed to the development of Feng Shui. It clearly demonstrates that everyone, everything, and every circumstance is in a constant state of flux. The Earth’s surface is always changing. Our yards are a microcosm of the Earth and exhibit both large and small changes through the seasons and years. Even homes and gardens with “perfect” Feng Shui can benefit by moving things around and updating remedies to reflect the growth and change that has taken place. Feng Shui adjustments actually become stagnant over the years and need to be updated or, at the very least, cleaned and refreshed. Don’t be afraid to move things around a bit. As you review each Feng Shui cure from the past, remind yourself of its original purpose. Do you still need it? Many homes are full of what I call Feng Shui clutter; that is, remedies that were placed “just in case” or for situations that no longer exist. By attuning to the flow of energy in your life and incorporating changes as they “call” to you, you may even avoid having the Universe surprise you with larger ones. Notice if you are resisting a change that wants to happen now. Are you willing to take a risk? Usually we feel energized when we “listen” and take the necessary action to make it happen. A basic Feng Shui principal is that whenever we move even the smallest object or make changes that we intuitively crave, we not only benefit, but the entire universe experiences a corresponding shift. You could even experience making a difference in the world! A good place to start is with your garden. Let the plant spirits and devas work their magic. Give your intuition free reign. And, most importantly, don’t forget to play! Then see what happens. Let The Changes Begin! www.FengShuiConsultingServices.net |
