Clutterbusting
With Feng Shui
Feng Shui Notes – September 2006
Clutter has become a hot topic over the past fifteen years
as people have become aware of its connection to Feng Shui and the problems
it can cause. It can show up in many ways in addition to
piles of un-filed papers, incomplete projects, and garages packed with
stuff that might be needed someday. For instance, furniture that is too
large for the room is clutter because it is blocking the flow of energy
in the space.
Other categories include perfectly good clothing that either doesn’t
fit or has lost its appeal, books that you will never read again, and
supplements, vitamins, or prescription medicines that you no longer take.
You may even have space to neatly store these things, but if they are
never to be used again and they’re not a collectible, they are probably
clutter.
There is also a whole other level of clutter that most of us have that
includes too many commitments, incomplete agreements with yourself and
others, and even relationships that no longer work.
Feng Shui is in based on a balanced environment and simplicity. And, YOU
are a vital part of your own environment, making it important to simplify
your life and manage any problem areas along with de-cluttering your home.
Homes and offices that are clutter-free and organized are easier to maintain.
When possessions are kept to a minimum, energy can flow freely throughout
the space. The result is more peace and the ability to accomplish more.
You may even find that you seem to have more time in your day.
Once the stagnant energy created by clutter is gone, miracles begin to
happen. Our personal chi begins to expand and there is usually an opening
to handle other more personal problems related to clutter. Often after
a house or office is de-junked, forgotten goals and dreams are rekindled.
Many people experience weight loss, better focus, and improved memory.
Clutter clearing is a process. For most people, it doesn’t happen
all at one time. Instead, it’s like peeling an onion—one layer
at a time. Like other processes, you may need to clear out one layer before
you can move to the next. Emotions generally run high as you deal with
resistance and other feelings that releasing old stuff brings up.
If you are someone who would like support in releasing your clutter and
getting organized, consider registering for the next Feng Shui for Clutterbugs
class beginning on Tuesday, September 19th. (The next class will be offered
in the Spring)
In addition
to clutter clearing support, you will also learn Feng Shui basics and
about the Feng Shui implications of how clutter may be impacting your
life. Private mentoring sessions around this issue can also be arranged.
(See below for more info.)
May
your life be abundant & simple!

The
purpose of this class is to empower you to permanently release your clutter

designed to reveal underlying, and often hidden, decisions to acquire
& keep so much stuff.About
one-half of the class time is spent on Feng Shui including information
that, as far as I know, is not available from other classes or books.
The balance of the class is designed to empower you in establishing new
habits around how you deal with your material possessions.
The
results are achieved through a combination of repatterning, visualization
techniques, and goal setting in each class session, along with lots of
practical tips and easy to implement techniques. Finally,
