“Spring” Into Good Feng Shui Using The Focus Of Woods
Feng Shui Notes - May 2006

The transition from spring to summer brings with it the opportunity to enhance your Feng Shui—especially in areas of life which require more focus. For many people this could include career and wealth.
The first part of May marks the midpoint between the beginning of spring and the start of summer. The I Ching attributes this period to the Wood element and to the Wealth area of the Bagua. This transition time is auspicious for working on related projects--such as initiating new business practices, enhancing your Wealth area, clearing clutter, embarking on a new fitness program, working on your garden, and working on projects involving actual wood.

Feng Shui is based on the principle that everything in your space will impact you in some way. The condition of your home and your immediate environment—including closets, garages, and sheds--affects you internally and ultimately influences how you function in the world. Each area of the Bagua on your property and the furniture and deco residing there, represents something in your life. Anytime you cleanse or refresh anything in your space, you are revitalizing the corresponding part of your life.

Wealth and financial well being for many people is directly related to career, making it an especially good time to work with career goals. One of the attributes of the Wood element is focus. If you are lacking Wood, either personally or in your space, use this time to focus your energies and prioritize what you want to achieve. If you pick one or two of your most important goals to concentrate on over the next few weeks and draw on the revitalizing and focusing energies present at this time, you can gain the momentum needed to clean out stagnant energy or to begin something new.

If you do nothing else, this is an excellent time to rearrange or enhance your office and your wealth area.

May your goals blossom & bear the sweet fruit of success!

Suzanne
