1. Have plenty of healthy plants and beautiful images from nature throughout your home. They will help to connect you with your ability to manifest abundance and also provide grounding and stability to your life. An important exception, however, is to avoid placing plants in the Center portion of the Bagua of your home. Generally, it’s good to avoid cactus and plants with pointy leaves, but there are exceptions. If you are unable to have live plants, opt for life-like silk plants. 2. Place moving water in the Wealth area of your house and, if possible, on your lot. The water should be flowing in toward your living space. Avoid placing fountains close to areas where you spend a lot of time, because they generally emit a high electromagnetic field. 3. Enhance your SW corner this year. To generate wealth, place traditional prosperity symbols here. A 30 or 40 mm round multifaceted leaded crystal will also work. Even more importantly, fill this space with activity and fresh air to keep this area vital. 4. Invite opportunity into your life by handling any issues with regard to your doors. This includes any that are sticking and squeaking. The front door is the main mouth of chi, but other doors are also important since opportunity comes in many forms. 5. Clear stagnant energy. We often think of clutter when we think of stagnant energy, but it can also pile up in areas that are rarely used or empty. These areas need to be cleared and energized from time-to-time. 6. Release anything that you do not love or use. If this is difficult, consider working with a personal organizer or doing coaching or mentoring work with me from a Feng Shui point-of-view. This work can include:
Mentoring can also include emotional clearing and accountability work, depending on your needs. This can be done by phone or in my office. 7. Don’t forget satellite pockets of stagnant energy. This includes stuff that is stored at other people’s homes or in public storage facilities. This is a big Feng Shui no, no! Your clutter always affects your wealth no matter where you keep it! It’s true that the effect is more immediate in your own space; however, it filters back to you, wherever it is located. This type of clutter can also influence the health and well-being of the person storing it for you. 8. One of the basic tenets of Feng Shui is that it’s important to cook and eat in clean, beautiful, and peaceful surroundings. So, pay attention to both your kitchen and eating area. Make sure that your pantry is well stocked with foods that you actually use. Discard or pass on foods that you may have purchased for one recipe, but that you will probably never need again. Finally, since your stove represents abundance, make sure that it is clean and in good working order. Abundantly
